The Forest of Dean & Wye Valley

Open Studios is a annual event which celebrates the arts and crafts of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley area. Each year artists open their studios/workshops to the public over two consecutive weekends in July. Open Studios has been operating for eleven years and its annual membership is open to all artists and designer makers who either live or work in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley area . Membership numbers are quite fluid from year to year with nearly 70 studios participating in last years event.

Come and discover the wonderful wealth of talent abounding in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley on two core weekends in July, other days were stated and also by appointment. Artists open their studios for you to visit, enjoy and perhaps buy. You can always be sure of a warm welcome.

Follow signs, look out for banners flying, enjoy the Forest while you travel.  If you do have any difficulty finding any artists please phone for help - also for advice if disabled. Studios are only open during the art trail, but you can contact artists by appointment throughout the year, so keep the brochure for reference.

About Open Studios

Open Studios is a non- profit making organization run by a volunteer management committee and funded by membership fees and grants. The management committee are responsible for the events, colour brochure, posters and their distribution with an annual advertising campaign covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Gwent and Cardiff.
