After moving to the Forest of Dean only two years ago Sarah once more took up her brushes after having laid them aside for twenty years to rear her children. Now having been inspired by the beauty of the Forest and Wye valley she eagerly returned to her love of nature and her art and has found a deep satisfaction in returning to her paints and canvas and now treats it as her full time profession. She has exhibited and sold her work successfully throughout the Forest and Chepstow area for the last year and a half. Sarah’s work can often be seen on Art on the Railings in Chepstow during the summer and she holds an exhibition of her work in April in her local village Memorial hall. Sarah takes commissions and is happy to give anything a go to the best of her ability. Sarah loves the Forest of Dean and seeks to express her love of nature in her work. She works with oil paints on canvas as she is most comfortable with that medium. When she establishes her own studio giving herself more room, she intends to work in her other favourite medium of pastels. I |
